Our structure

Investa is a private company and the shareholders are actively involved in the activities of the company. Investa and the shareholders of Investa do not have any ownership in other financial service providers, or any of our product providers.

Our referral agreements with advisors are flexible and allows us to replace the adviser if the client’s needs require.

We maintain independence in terms of our service approach

Statutory information

Investa Financial Services (Pty) Ltd (registration no 2012/051758/07) holds a Category 1 Licence in terms of the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services (FAIS) Act No. 37 of 2002, which is  administered by the Financial Services Board (FSB).

Our FSP number is 24958.

Details of the registration and the products which we are authorised to handle can be verified at the FSB’s toll-free number: 0800 110 443, or on their website: www.fsb.co.za / FAIS / Searches / Search for Financial Services Providers / FSP number.

Investa is subject to the compliance and auditing requirements stipulated by FAIS.

Audited financial statements and a compliance report are submitted to the FSB annually.

We have Professional Indemnity cover of R1m.

Piet Krynauw

Chairman

Piet has more than 40 years experience in the financial services industry and is a registered financial services advisor . He distinguished himself working at Boland Bank and later BoE from 1970 to 2000. He served as executive committee member for 10 years and during his career he was a director of Boland Bank and other banking interests such as Bank Windhoek. He served on the investment committee of Boland Bank and as a trustee of its pension fund.  Piet held senior management positions in treasury, operations, marketing, credit and corporate finance. Amongst others, he also provided consulting services to BoE and Nedbank. He is a director of various companies.

 

Christiaan Buys

Director & Risk Manager

BsC (Maths) (Stellenbosch)

After completing his degree at the University of Stellenbosch, Christiaan spent 2 years with the Department of Soil and Agriculture Products as a research assistant. After a short period in England he started his banking career in 1996 with Boland Bank (Natal) as a credit analyst. He held various positions in the Credit Risk divisions of BoE Bank and Nedbank. In 2006 he was appointed by RMB Private Bank as credit head for the Western Cape and Natal. In 2010 Christiaan formed CH Risk and Securities (Pty) Ltd, a specialist risk management company. He is also acting as a director of Capital Harvest and other companies.

Pieter Krynauw

After finishing his Bachelors degree at the University of Stellenbosch Pieter qualified as an IT specialist and started his business career as a System Administrator for BoE Bank and Technical Manager/Engineer with The Line Management Group in London for 2 years. After completion of his Honors degree in 2003 Pieter joined Honewell, a Fortune 100 Company in South Africa. He also worked  in the Middle East, China and the USA.

Albert Smith

Director

B.Comm Management Accounting (Hons) (Stellenbosch), ACMA

Albert graduated top of his Honors B.Comm (Man Acc) class in 1999 at the University of Stellenbosch. He started his banking career as credit manager with BoE Bank and obtained his ACMA (Associate Chartered Management Accountant) qualification during 2000. Albert acted as area credit head for Nedbank from 2003 to 2006 and joined Capital Harvest during 2007 as senior credit manager and was appointed head of credit during June 2010
